May 26, 2012 – Meade County, Ky. – According to a news report on WDRB, a car accident has claimed the life of a child and seriously injured 2 others on Tuesday, May 22. The car accident occurred around 11:25 a.m. on Kentucky 228.
According to the local sheriff’s department, Sarah Lewis, 34, was driving a Chevy Blazer when she lost control behind the wheel. The vehicle came off the road and overturned. She and her 9-year-old child, Joseph, were both ejected from the Blazer. No other vehicles were involved in the car crash.
Joseph was pronounced dead at the accident scene by a Meade County coroner. Lewis and another passenger, Dallas Sizemore, 11, were transported to University Hospital, where they are listed in serious condition.
