A two-vehicle crash in Wolfe County, Kentucky took the life of a Campton woman and left two other people injured last month. The accident reportedly occurred on Monday evening July 22, 2013 on KY 15 North in Campton, Kentucky.
According to accident reports, 35-year-old Chad Jones of Rogers was driving northbound on KY 15 when he reportedly lost control of his 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. He allegedly overcorrected and crossed the center line of KY 15 where his vehicle reportedly collided with a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was being driven southbound on KY 15 by 59-year-old Cathy L. Holthouser of Rogers. 37-year-old Dana Lutes of Campton was a passenger in Mr. Jones’ vehicle at the time of the collision.
Ms. Lutes was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene of this Kentucky accident. Ms. Holthouser was airlifted to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital where she was reported to be in fair condition on the day following the crash. Mr. Jones was taken to Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson and then later transferred to UK where he was reported to be in critical condition the day of the accident.
Ms. Lutes is survived by her mother, by her two sons, her stepdaughter and other loving friends and relatives.
